We attended the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce networking event and mini-trade show ‘ Business After Hours’ on Tuesday March 25 . . . BRASSmedia was the main reason we were there but we promoted our podcast shows including Radio Free Red Deer . . . Lots of folks were really interested in the show. Indie musicians have lots of fans out there . . . something I always figured . . . and I handed out a lot of cards with our web address. What got me excited were the folks who knew of someone – bands and performers and writers and singers – that they thought should be on our show. Fans…they’re great!

There are two criteria for the artist to be included – 1-they own the rights to their music (that’s why they’re independent) and 2 – they come from Central Alberta (this is kinda loose – born here, live here now, came from here, lived here at some point in their musical life…some form of actually being connected to Central Alberta…).
